📍 Location: Cherokee County Appraiser’s Office
🕗 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)


Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated Personal Property Clerk to join our team! This position plays a key role in providing excellent customer service and supporting the daily operations of our office.


Key Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
Greet and assist visitors at the reception desk
Provide administrative support as needed
Classes are required

On-the-job training provided


Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, data entry, document management)
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Willingness to complete required training and professional development

Work Schedule:
📅 Monday through Friday
🕗 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break)

Pay range of $14.00 to $16.00 an hour depending on experience
Full-time position with consistent daytime hours


Training & Development:
On-the-job training is provided. Completion of required classes is necessary and will be supported by the employer.

Results of the Market Study Analysis for Cherokee County for the Assessment Year 2025

January 1, 2025-Pursuant to K.S.A. 79-1460a.

A study of the residential and commercial real estate market, and vacant land in Cherokee County, indicated that there was an overall inflationary trend of 4%.

Values on specific properties may not follow the general trend because of changes in the property, correction of the descriptive information, specific neighborhood sales data, or adjustment and equalization of values based on sales of similar properties.

The Cherokee County Appraiser’s Office thanks you for the opportunity to serve our great county.

Our office now does the addressing for the non-incorporated parts of Cherokee county. We also make maps of all kinds, including but not limited to school districts, property ownership ( by townships, quadrants, or the entire county), aerials etc.

Map sizes range from 8x11 up to 42 inches wide. Prices vary according to size and also if aerials are used.
